Cowboys in the Kitchen is happening on October 26, 2013 at the Moose Lodge in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. This is going to be an annual event and we are super excited about it.
Ladies: Imagine a dinner where the men do all the cooking, serving and maybe even the clean up. Does that sound good to you?
Gentlemen: Imagine you and a bunch of guys doing your own type of cooking and making a room full of ladies happy. Does that sound good to YOU?
Along with a very good dinner we will have a cash raffle, silent auction, cowboy music and a dance to top off the evening. There will be local celebrities attending and lots of surprises, too.
Tickets will be available soon but please mark your calendars for this very special event to help the horses here at St. Francis Horse Rescue. You really do not want to miss this. 
But before we jump into fall, let’s enjoy our spring and upcoming summer first. We hope you all make time to enjoy your horses. If you do not have a horse and want to meet a few, give us a call or e mail and come on out and meet the herd. If you want to get dirty for a day we are cleaning pastures and turnout areas after that long and quite terrible winter!! If you have groups who can volunteer some time here, just let us know and we would love to have the help. We might even put our own “Cowboy” in the kitchen to cook up a nice lunch.
We have had some adoptions happening lately! Gail adopted Jasper, Laura adopted Ellie Mae Mule, Alyssa adopted Charlie Cool and even little Diego went to his new home with Becky. We are off to a good start for the spring/summer/fall peak adoption time.
